Hi
as of now i have almost 60 lasers my question is if i hold the lasers about 3 inches above my head it will cover that part of my head with no black spots but if i go about 1 inch or 2 inch it will have black spots in between the lasers if i were to use the lasers at 1 inch away from my head with the black spots will the lasers still do its job where the black spots are? hope you guys know what im talking about lol
thanks…

Hey, Fullyloaded!

DO NOT hold the lasers three inches above the head if you’ve removed the lens caps!  The reason is that the power has spread out so much that you are really limiting your treatment.

You don’t really even want more than an inch.  We figured out the time to be 20 minutes for the height of a brush bristle, which is somewhere between 1.5-2cm off the scalp, and if you raise it higher than that, you are going to have to go longer!

Yeah, the black spots are the gaps between the diodes, but trust me on two things here… 1) when you throw in the natural cuvature of the scalp, those gaps will be minimized.  If you start trying to get them CLOSER than what they are with the gutter guard shape, you are going to have overlapping.  2) This is about long term usuage and averages.  It takes many months to get results, and after a while, it will all be evened out.  The dark spots aren’t going to be in the exact same spot the next time you put on your helmet.  In fact, they probably won’t be in the same spot for more than a few minutes during a session because you’ll probably shift the helmet around some!  So, like I said, it will be evened out!
