OMG’s Skype…

July 08, 2010, 09:18 PM Hey guys… I mentioned this in another thread, but I’ve actually set up a permanent webcam and dedicated laptop for Skype so I can do video calls! If you go to the Contact US page, you’ll see that I have an icon that shows my status (whether I’m online, away, offline, etc). Yeah, I know, I need to put everyone else’s contact info up there soon, and I’ll do that. Baby steps, man, baby steps! lol… Maybe some other people will be interested in offering their skype info, too. So, if you want to talk to me about something with the WorldHairLoss.org site, laser helmets, want to smoke a cigar with me, talk about chicks, whatever… give me a buzz! My skype username is [drumroll please] “overmachogrande” -I know you would have never guessed that! I’m doing this, of course, out of spirit of our position of COMPLETE TRANSPARENCY, approachability, and full disclosure! You can’t get more transparent than being able to see and talk to someone! lol… Try getting ahold of other site owners in the hair loss world this way [snicker snicker!]. Anyway, I expect to be on quite a bit during the day and early evening. Maybe no one will ever initiate a call, and maybe I’ll be spending hours a day talking to bald guys, lol… who knows. Something tells me that in a year or so, if you DON’T have this sort of access to people on any site, you’re going to be behind the times. It’s also up on my OverMachoGrande.com site, too in my new interactive “contact” bar. Man, I’ve actually had to do a lot of work on that site lately to get it going smoothly again! You cats need to TELL ME when my site gets screwy like that! lol… -O.M.G. |

I’ve actually got some good software for the camera where I can do a lot of cool things (pictures, banners, animated gizmos, etc.), and I’ll figure out how to use it soon enough! |

[ # 3 ] July 08, 2010, 10:13 PM Yea I was quite impressed with the skype program today. The software downloaded without a hitch in just a scant few minutes. It was extremely cool to see OMG live talking to me LIVE! This kind of thing could really come in handy for those 1 to 1 conversations. |

[ # 5 ] July 08, 2010, 10:34 PM Yeah, the OMG site loads A LOT quicker, and I’m proud of that (because even when it was “fast” before it was still SLOW)! I made a whole bunch of “under the hood” changes in the structure over the past 36 hours, and I’ve made it look a little sharper, too -as you can see by the cool ass banner and a couple of new graphics! I’ve added a few new things, and I’m going to really enjoy getting back to blogging over there! I can say so much more over there because I don’t have to be as “responsible”! lol… I host that site on Godaddy, and since I’ve made all those changes (and removed a lot of the labor intensive graphics and replaced them with smaller ones), any loading problems are pretty much their congestion and not my site -which, unfortunately, happens a lot. I obviously DO NOT host this site through GoDaddy! I’ll probably change overmachogrande.com over to that host sometime soon so it’ll be lightning fast (I just don’t want to because it’s always scary deleting your database). You need to get a webcam, though, Joe! lol… -O.M.G. |

Actually..just Google- video chatting etc Tiny chat seems to be able to do what you’re looking for though. I jumped in a room..you can see who’s video’n…some others are just there chatting. |

Ok, I’m back. Man, it’s really hard to “unsee” some things! Maybe I’ll just stick to the same ole Skype where the video call is private, and I can make it a “conference call” if I want to. Zix Creator… I know what the surprise is… you’ve probably moved halfway around the world but never told your forum friends! The camera would turn on and I’d see some foreign land, right? Wow… what sort of person would that make you if you allegedly were trying to bond with your forum friends but neglected to tell them something as BIG as that?!
