Has any one had any experience or insight into the effectiveness of Flutamide, or other anti androgens?

I’ve heard some positive reports on Flutagel on the hairline…  What about Fluridil or RU58841? My limited research shows only RU has no broader sides, just having local anti androgenic effects.

Equally, what would be a natural or better still food based anti androgen?  and to use topically (or internally - sides?)

Am I right to assume Epilobium is a DHT blocker or, is it an anti androgen? In addition, does any one use it topically? - if so, any success.

Also, is Canola oil a pro androgen or just a a pro 5AR?

Thanks !

From what I remember in the Regrowth days, it was hit-and-miss, and the threat of systemic absorption was always there.  Never really seemed to take off (that was Flutimide).  Epilobium inhibits 5ar.  RU78841 is very difficult to obtain in the right form.  You may wind up basically flushing a few hundred down the toilet.

Canola I’m not well-versed in, but I an think of *many* various oils that I’d rather put on my head than Canola! smile

Thanks Nid, Do you use Epilobium topically? And what about an Epilobium tea… Where can we get the raw herb? - that can sometimes be better than a supplement. The more I learn about what I term vibrational medicine / Being, the more convinced I am that the closer we get to the source the better the health effects.

As for RU58841, yes I agree, but what is it?? Man made or natural?

Epilobium sounds the most encouraging, is it better if we could source the herb. Or is it an extract situation?

As for Canola oil, I was meaning I have been (stupidly) eating it at Whole Foods. I am going to speak to them today about their ongoing use of that oil. Duh?

Lastly do you eat dandleions every day? Try it and watch how your hair/scalp feels… It’s right up there with seaweed. Just throw in some steamed salmon and enjoy. Let me know how it goes with dandelions for you. Wash it down with brudock tea… Some slippery elm before bedtime… Enjoy…

I don’t use it topically, but I know that Epilobium.com is working on a natural shampoo with Epilobium in it.  Perhaps http://www.mountainroseherbs.com may have the raw Epilobium herb.  I agree; the closer to the source the better!

RU58841 is, I *think*, a synthetic curcumin.  I could be wrong here and mixing it up with some other synthetic derivative that people used to tinker around with in the past.  Basically isolated one component and made it incredibly potent.  But ya, man-made.

The nice part about Epilobium, is that Epilobium.com actually uses a natural, hydroponic extraction process on their home-grown, organic plants.  They even use bat guano as fertilizer.  This is the ideal method to take any herb.

Dandelions, eh?  Isn’t Chrysin derived from dandelions?  Wonder where I can buy some of these…

Mastery, A couple years back I was using a Flutamide Topical on my temple area. I think I used it for about 4 months until Senere decided to stop making it due to possible harmful effects in certain people if absorbed. I also was using there fin topical. One on each side to see if there was any difference. In the end I had thick terminal hairs on one side of my hairline where the flutamide was and not so much so on the fin side. I believe it was effective but theres always other variables. Maybe that side of my hairline is more prone to loss like in some people i dunno.

I debated whether to use the genhair product but people seemed to get sides from it. I think it is 2% rather than the 1% from sinere. Also Sineres was made differently. I believe OMG had results with flutamide as well. Could be wrong.

Many thanks Nid and brh, sorry been away for a few days - moving !

Nid - thanks for that. How about putting a few drops of the Epilobium into your regular shampoo, shake it up and carry on??  Nid if you like I can put you in touch with a shaman type individual who focusses on heath, you may get a kick out of her… PM me.

brh - Thanks brh…harmful effects? can you elaborate on the sides brh? - did the new hairs stick? would you stull use flutamide?

I’m doing the dandelions every day - and today I have a woman from Bau Biology (google it!) coming over to analyze the whole house for indoor air quality, including EMF’s (which may relate to jdp’s work on RIFE)

Many thanks guys, sorry for being slow responding….

Chrysin is derived from the blue passion flower.
