Hi Guys

I am searching in vain for explanations on how to apply certain oils

What im mainly talking about is Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, and ACV/Baking soda wash
Do i need to dilute it with anything? add alcohol? preshower or post?

Also, how do i combine those oils in my daily life/regimen?
I am trying to use emu oil twice a day, but when i do my hair is greasy for hours and i cant add another oil on that, and when i try to wash the emu with polysorbate it wont lather very well.

Looking for guidance on which oil/topical to focus and how to combine them daily and how to apply them

Thanks

Hey ya,
you know I’m not sure if it’s really worth putting all those oils on your head. I’d just stick with the emu oil and go easy with it, just use a tiny weeny amount. It puts your scalp in great condition and it helps with LLT. If you need to wash it off then use a nice SLS free shampoo,  then use polysorbate 80 to deep cleanse the scalp. Olive oil,  coconut oil and AVC/Baking soda wash is probably over egging the pudding.

My own regime is Super Zix II topical morning and night. Polysorbate 80 pre-laser deep clean. Emu oil for pre-laser topical and scalp conditioning. I just wonder if you really must have the other oils? I’m not sure it would be possible to use them all from from a practical point of view?
Cheers

i think Neem oil is one of the best oils for scalp, but you have to mix it cause its it almost solid . its high in vitamin E and other goof stuff and makes your hair shine and soft.
add some to your shampoo or mix it with other oils and directly apply it to your scalp.

Woohoo Some replies!

Thanks alot guys. What’s the benefites or neem oil over coconut oil nanas?
Tritium - i didnt mean to use the ACV/Baking soda daily, just maybe once every week/2 weeks, but i still don’t know
how to use it.

Same thing with coconut.
I believe emu is good for me, i just rub some on my hair and hands and massage it into the scalp and hair.
the only PROBLEM with it, is that i cant use polysorbate after because my hair is so oily

AVC/Soda instructible is here;
http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Go-No-Poo/#step1

I suppose you could use the soda stage to clean off the old Emu oil and then do the polysorbate.

What I do is polysorbate then have a shower/wash using a non SLS shampoo. Then I use a bit of Emu oil and just rub it into my scalp with my finger, tips then I nuke my head with lasers. Afterwards I leave the Emu oil in. Before bed I apply SuperZix II. In the morning I shower as normal and shampoo my hair. I apply Zix in the morning but I don’t add Emu oil.

Basically I only Emu oil for a laser session and I only polysorbate prior to a laser session. I leave the Emu oil in over night to condition my scalp. If you want to use them daily then I’d say you’d need to wash the Emu oil out prior to each ploysorbate session.

Incidentally, what is the benefit of coconut oil apart from the delicious smell? smile
Hope that helps!

ps Emu oil is a fantastic skin conditioner!
