Hey all..I’ve been urged to post some results I’ve gotten from using lasers for ~16 months or so now. I have a 300 diode helmet made by Dan and started lasering in April ‘09. Save for about a 6 week hiccup when my helmet stopped working I’ve been using it regularly since.

A little background info…noticed I started thinning out about 4 years ago. Started on minox almost immediately and in about a year’s time had quite a bit of regrowth going. However, around late ‘08 my hair was in a rapid decline, started thinning out badly and became super dry and unhealthy (check pics).

Now its lasers 3x/week for 20 mins, the paleo diet (no grains, dairy or legumes), minox foam, jarrows curcumin +resveratrol. Boar bristle brush for 10 mins before lasering, then take a shower and use grapefruit seed extract in my shampoo. Still on minox, I know it gets a bad rap here but it works on the crown for me.

100% without a shadow of a doubt lasers work and work well for me. If anybody here is on the sidelines I highly encourage you to try LLLT and see for yourself. It really transformed my hair into something that gets better every day.

I’ve posted some before and after pics. The ‘before’ pics were taken a day before I did my first LLLT session. The ‘afters’ were just taken yesterday.  If anybody has any questions let me know, and good luck guys!

...for some reason i couldn’t get attach the pics, so I uploaded them to imageshack -

Thanks for the feedback.
Yet on the pictures, the fact that your hair is combed forward makes it difficult to assess the real progress you had.

I’m in a very similar case, using minox (5 years)  and 415 helmet (1 year). I have noticed good results, the first one being i’m not losing any more hair, which is great. I can see regrowth of many - yet useless - vellus hair. My hair is also thicker, shinier and “feels better” but no picture can prove it, you only have my words.

Thanks for sharing, descaping!  Always love getting e-mails like these.  Wonder where you’ll be at when you hit the 2 year mark? smile

Also, lp69, I have a lot of those “useless” vellous hairs as well, however, some have terminalized over time which is encouraging!

The middle picture especiallly, makes the progress pretty obvious. Though I agree it would have been easier to see with your hair combed up.
Still, it obviously worked really well, so I guess if you just keep using it, you’re guaranteed to keep it forever! Nice work.

Interesting. How many of them have terminalized, and how long did it take ?
I think I could notice them from month 6. I’m in month 13 now and didn’t notice any real progress.

From what jambap told me, it was around the 14th month or so that he really saw significant results.  He simply said it was a process—no hair, vellous hair, terminal hair.  How long that takes to cycle depends on the person and hair cycle, which can be years.

For me, it’s hit and miss, looks like I’m beginning to see my natural hairline again but not enough to hide the face that the temples are back.  Just gotta keep using my Scalpure and helmet. smile
