Since reading OMG’s blog post on the Flowbee like 9 months ago, I decided to just order one last week. Got it in today, and after a bit of fooling around with the attachments, I just dove in and hoped for the best. An inch on the top, half inch on the sides/back, and a half inch to zero taper along the bottom of the back. As fucking ridiculous as the thing (and the guy using it in the booklet) looks, I cant believe that it really looks like I just got home from the barber. I don’t know why I didn’t jump on this boat sooner, the thing is amazing.

OMG was dead on on this one, if you’re the kind of guy that likes to sport a simple hair cut, this thing is hot shit. Figured I’d share, because it really is nice knowing I don’t have to hear my barber say “you’re thinning a bit on the top” every time I start resembling Chewbacca.

The Flowbee is totally amazing!

...And it’s great for longer-than-normal haircuts, too!  What I’m in the process of doing is growing out the sides/back to all one setting -meaning that each hair will be the same length as another- and it makes a perfectly proportioned haircut that is equally thinned/even/layered or whatever.

I’m in the process of growing out the top to a slightly longer setting, and it’s playing catch-up a bit which is why my bangs right now are a little too short for the sides and back, but it’s still kick ass!  I used to only get my hair cut every few months, but now I cut it TWICE A MONTH (on the 1st and on the 15th) because I can get it *exactly* how I want it everytime!

I really want them to be an advertiser on this site.  Regardless of whether they do or not (and I honestly don’t think they advertise with anyone online), I think I’m going to make a video on using one, and how even though it was made fun off, it can give you the coolest, BEST hair cut possible!

I’ve decided to grow my hair out longer than 3/8”, and I think the Flowbee is the ticket.

I keep it so short because my hair grows straight out/up so the sides get wicked “poofy” at lengths of 1/2” or greater, but I’ve been directed by some friends of the female persuasion to grow it out a bit longer.  Kind of like this lions mane:

Anyway, my main question is ,what the heck do you get with the flowbee package?

It says you can cut hair from 1/2 -> 6” every 1/4” but that would be like 25 plastic adapters…how does this thing work?

I want to go 1.5 to 2” up top, and 1/2” sides and back with a decent taper.

My clippers are on their last legs after 4 years, so I figured I could trade up to the flowbee and save the $20 once ever blue moon when I need a “real” haircut (weddings, ridiculously important meetings, etc).  I grow my hair out for these occasions and usually have a 6-8 week notice.  99% of the time I’m unkempt, but whatever, its a style now.

Hey, xyion1!

Man, I TOTALLY REGRET right now that my primary computer with all of it’s software and graphic goodies is in the shop because I want to take pictures of the parts of the Flowbee and show you “the deal”!  In fact, I was thinking about making a video about it at some point because I really do believe that most balding people would love it.

I *think* my computer is fixed and is on it’s way back though.  The way I know is because I have sort of a “make-shift tracker” on it, and I saw that it logged on Firefox and visited this site on Friday afternoon! lol…  I would assume that they were finalizing the repairs at that point.

Anyway, when I get it next week, I’ll take some pictures and show you how it works -and how you’d probably use it for your haircut.

I’ll also show you how I do mine, and the BEST THING is that I normally use it every two weeks and it’s a perfect hair cut (for me) every time because it doesn’t look like I’ve had a hair cut in months -but yet it’s “even”.  So, it’s the best of both worlds… once you get the hair the length you want it, you can keep it RIGHT THERE, and ensure that it’s still “even”.

I actually haven’t used mine since March 15th, though, because I’ve decided that I want to grow out the sides and back and inch (and I still need to grow out the top a couple of inches to get a better “proportion” to the rest of it).  I’ll probably cut the sides and back on May 1st since I think it’ll be at the length I want it to be by then.

Hang on a couple of days!

Thanks OMG, I’ll wait for your mini-review.  As it turns out, I buzzed my head to 1/4” today anyway, so I’ve got a couple weeks easy before my next cut.

OMG, you all set with your computer?  I’m sure you way backlogged but a quick write up (heck, make it an article or video!) on the Flowbee would be awesome.

thanks man.

I’m totally getting my hair ready for that Flowbee video! lol…  Good lord, look at it!  I should be able to record it very soon -maybe Sunday!

longerf.jpg

I love looking like a total dirtbag right now, too!  It’s the haircut that every “underachiever-girls-love-to-f*ck” has!  HA HA HA!

So, even though I have to cut it in the flowbee video, I’m growing that crap back out and longer!
