Has anybody gone into maintenance mode by only doing LLLT once a week?  If so what are/were your results?  And does anybody know if there is any point of doing multiple sessions per week of LLLT after about 2 years?

Lapwing,
I am at the two year mark, using LLLT three times a week on 20 minute sessions. I’m not sure how to answer your question other than to say that my hair has never looked this good. Period. Two years later and everyday is better than the last. As the saying goes: “If it aint broke, don’t fix it”.

Thanks Calbruin, good reply.  I have just been feeling lazy lately.  My hair has been looking really good too now you are right about “if ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.  If you got a winning regimen you should stick with and be damn thankful.  I will keep up the vigilance.

I don’t have before photos that show anything.  I have most of my hair.  My thinning spots sometimes show and sometimes not in the mirror on any given day.  Unfortunately and fortunately I have no photos showing hair loss.  Photo evidence for me would be totally useless and possibly misleading.  If you want to see my hair as is, I can pm you some photos past and present.

I want to add:  Grooming, hair length, lighting, etc., make a world of difference.  I don’t know how anybody could trust any photos.

I look for random photos of me and I can’t see any real hair loss.  So obviously my hair loss is not that severe and plus I keep my hair long so it just doesn’t show up in photos.

If I done it right, I would have gone and got my NW rate by hair specialist when I first started all this and then gone back to same guy and get him to rate it again a couple of years later.  So I would have my NW rated twice or more and signed by the doctor as evidence.  That would be the kind of objective evidence I would like to see.  So I recommend this method of validity to newbies.  I would like to see somebody do this who is just starting out in LLLT.  Screw photos, they are too deceptive.

Dr. Maricle seems to feel that after a year or two of treatment, once a week for 20 minutes or so is all that is necessary.  But again, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it….
