Hey,

I’ve read a lot of people discussing hyothyroidism as a cause of hair loss and other nasty health related thingys that come with it but haven’t seen a good run down of how to test for it or treat it.

Is there somewhere I can go to read more about it or can someone spell out for me what I can do to accurately test for it and then if I do have a problem with my thyroid, how to treat it?

I’ve also heard people ask if the inflammation turns up when it’s dark, I’m not sure if it’s related to this but mine definitely doesn’t.  I tend to feel it more in the mornings and through the day especially after eating a lot of carbs or generally rubbish food.  Probably should avoid that rubbish food but hey, I’m working on it.  One step at a time.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Oh, and please don’t post on this thread, [BLACKLISTED word/name/company removed automatically].  I’ve heard enough of your theories already.

Peace.

Feel free to check out my page on it.

Originally I started this thread on my natural forum that speaks about it here:

Also there is a section on it down the middle of this page.  I really should update this however.

JoeyRamone—

We’re going to have a section and probably a few articles on the role of the thyroid in hair loss in the near future!

I’d recommend checking out IH’s links above though, as there is some real valuable information in there.

Thanks for the replies.  Definitely opened up a pandora’s box of information.
