Hi,
I have a personal experience that I want share with every vary. Recently, I was about to go to surgery because I suffer from hyperhidrosis, this is, simply, excessive sweating (hands, armpits, feets). I am a nursing student. You can imagine the suffering that I had. My hands always wet and cold. I avoided handshaking. Touching a patient or putting on gloves were a nightmare for me. I decided to borrow the part of the money from the loans of my school if necessary. It would take me some semesters to have all the money, but at leastI had the hope of healing. I called to the American Institute of Hyperhidrosis for help. Maybe thay had a way I could pay to them little by little. I wish I could have had the amount of $7,000 I needed to pay for the ETS-C (Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy). But, after many attempts, I didn,t get the financial aid I needed. Browsing in the internet, I found a video in which the guy explained how to make a iontophoresis machine: I just needed a motorcycle battery, cables, and 4 trays (2 for each hand and 2 for each feet). I was very skeptic on doing it. But, I did. After all, I didn’t have anything to loose. And, I didn’t have any other options available. I began my treatment at the beginning of the october, 4th, 2011 with no immediate result. One, two, three weeks without results…But, I kept doing the treatment every other day. Since 2 weeks, I have not sweat any more, neither my hands nor my feet. My armpits do because I need to adapt an electrode for them to the “machine”. But, I am very happy so far. I am a totally different person; I am not afraid of handshaking anymore. By the way, the cheaper iontophoresis machine that RA Fisher Co sells has a price of 675.00 without trays. They rent the machine for $100 monthy. If after trying it you decide to buy it, then they take away 50 dollars for each month you had it from the total price.
Since I began to see the results, I wrote in facebook, in any supportive group for people who suffer from hyperhydrosis, everywhere, providing the link for everyvary so that they know that iontophoresis might work on them too. That they might consider it before going to surgery, at least give a try…I am perfectly conscious that it might not work to everyvary, but maybe someone out there has good results too.
It is not that easy writting all of this for me. English is not even my language. But, I want to share my story.
If Lasser Mesiah worked for you, why not to spread the voice? Beyond the way it works, how to buid it, the number of electrodes, and now recently the electric pulsedrive, people need to know if it work or not. It is so easy today to publish anything in the internet! From 2008 up today, the internet should be plenty of experiences and reviews. Besides, why not to help other people to find a solution?
Thanks for taking the time of reading.

Wow, holy crap, Jairo… that’s very interesting -actually, it’s AMAZING!

I’ve known people that have had that problem, but I’ve never even looked into it.  One of my good friends actually is a profuse sweating problem when it comes to things like job interviews.  It’s not his hands and feet, though, it’s more his brow and face area.  Do you know if there is an electrode for that??

Can you post a picture of your setup?

This is the video that I followed when deciding to build my iontophoresis machine:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_wdHKRWZI4
I hope the link gets clickable and you can see. My iontophoresis machine is like the one in the video. You can see in link below the actual cost of an iontophoresis machine from RA Fisher.
http://www.rafischer.com/script/showcat.pl?group=iontophoresis
By the way, you need prescription from your dermatologist, and you cannot treat hands, feet, and armpits at the same time with RA Fisher machine.
It is the same principle and a motorcycle battery costs around 35 dollars. At least you can try it to make sure that iontophoresis works for you before deciding to buy a machine because once you bought it, you cannot return it.
Regarding hyperhidrosis predominantly in the face, I honestly don’t know if it can be treated with iontophoresis too. But, we can find out. Iontophoresis is a well known treatment; it is not used only for hyperhidrosis. And, I highly recommend you not to do this treatment without consulting your physician.
I am sorry I am writting that much about hyperhidrosis in this forum which actually was created for a different problem, hair loss.
I am really interested in learning more about the lasser mesiah helmet and about the results people is having.
Thank you.

I used to have massive sweating under my armpits, at one point it just stopped after taking so many supplements (IH regimen). I’m thinking it was either due to thyroid imbalance, or cortisol (started taking sensoril at one point). I also started working out, so that may have had something to do with it.

Yes, there are primary hyperhidrosis and secondary hyperhidrosis. Secondary hyperhidrosis develops as a manifestation of a condition or a disease; when you treat the condition or the disease, hyperhidrosis disappears. I’ve suffered from hyperhidrosis since I was a baby; it’s called primary hyperhidrosis. It runs in my family. So, I’ve been sweating my whole life (profusely). Now, imagine how happy I feel after finding that this treatment is working for me. So far, I have not sweated my hands and armpits any more.
By the way, no vary tells me about his/her experience with laser messiah. I would like to buy one, but I still don’t know why no vary talks about the good or bad results they have had. I would like to buy one, but it is so weird that people don’t talk enough about it.  You know what? If I where one of those people who had had great results with Laser Mesiah, I would share my story with the whole world.
Best Regards.

That is a really interesting story. I love when people “push the envelope” and have success. Look out modern medicine. The internet will be your undoing.

Good post… i’ve got a problem with sweating also and i did think to throw up a post here and see what responses i could get, just hadn’t gotten around to it.

Mate, between hair-loss and excessive sweating (hyperhydrosis)... just thinking about how much i’ve gone into both makes me cross-eyed.

For me it’s the facial sweating that really annoys me… and i’ve wondered if a iontophoresis machine could be customised for that… i’ll get around to checking it out eventually. there are a few other remedies i’d like to try before going down that road though.

i’ve often thought if the sups i take add to it, sometimes i think it does, sometimes i think not… then theres the trade off… i endeavour to find the perfect balance eventually.

Jairo, I might p.m. you in the near future to discuss.

Again, a great post, in a great forum, on a great site!

Cheers!
