I’d just like to start by saying that I don’t know much about laser helmets or electricity.
But say that one of the wires would come loose on top of the laser helmet, is there a risk of electrocuting oneself? Or is there some kind of switch in the little box that would cut the electricity if that would happen?

And if this is the case, is there anyway that one could avoid this risk?

no 1. theres no switch i dont think, but if u use it through a surge buster multisocket power board, i think that will do the same thing (cut off when theres a surge)  pls correct me if im wrong, however a switch in the helmet would be a good idea

no 2.  its only low voltage i.e. 3-5 volts, so i dont think u would get electroceuted, just shocked, unless u drop it in the bathtub.

no 3.  If u do a good job of covering up the wiring with shrinking tape or something, there really shouldnt be any more chance than with any other appliance, u could also seal the power supply in a plastic box from the electronics shop.

having said all that, which is just my opinions (im not a electrician) omg would be the one to ask, but i guess these sort of things are the trade off for saving so many thousands of dollars that clinics would take from u.

oh HANG ON, i know who to ask, CUEBREEZE, he is an electrician, uses a helmet, and can be found on www.immortalhair.forum.com, as im not sure he even knows about this site yet.  He should be able to get u proper answers for this.

Nah, no risk bud.  At worst, your power supply gives out or diodes burn out, all of which AixiZ warranties.

Yeah, no real risk from the HELMET under any feasible circumstance, but that’s because the power supply is separated from it.  ...But don’t wear it in the bath tub!  lol…  When I’m finished with the mass-produced version, I’ll probably have to put that warning on it!

The POWER SUPPLY… yeah, sure, if you were touching it and spilled a drink on it or something, I’m sure it could shock you.  It connects directly to the 110v or 220v wall outlet, so there is always a risk -even with the computer’s power supply you are using right now.  Keep that on the floor or something.  One day -when I do have to gear this towards the same people that would use a snowblower on the roof- I’ll have to put this in a rubber casing with warning labels all over it.

For now, though… you guys are smart to be able to LOOK at the power supply and say “You know, I don’t think I should keep this in a bowl of water”.

Hehe, thanks… sound comforting smile

I was sitting with a newly washed, damp head and accidently touched one of the wires on top of the helmet when the thought came to me.
But If I’ve understood correctly there is not enough volts in the wires on top of the helmet to actually electrocute you if one would come loose.

If you touched a positive or a negative wire, you wouldn’t even feel anything.  If you touched a positive and a negative wire, I think you might feel something very mild.  Oh, and just the simple introduction of water into the equation doesn’t necessarily do anything, by the way, but don’t ask me to explain it! lol… I let the electrical engineers figure that part out!

On my original helmet, I used electrical tape on the ends instead of wire nuts, and the tape fell off and since I was lazy, I didn’t replace it.  As a result, I touched the exposed end of where the wire nuts would be multiple times, but found that I never got a shock.

Don’t forget that http://www.overmachogrande.com is STILL the storehouse for LLLT info!

LLLT Safety Part II - Addressing EMF fields!

Zip, zero, nada.  That’s obviously my original golden thing I created and not a Laser Messiah, but it’s the same with the big ones… pretty much the exact same as the baseline reading of the room you are in.

Now, once again… the POWER SUPPLY does have an EMF field located in the space close around it (very, very close around it, as with all power supplies) , so don’t wear that part on your head!

Mercola is right—EMF is something that we should definitely be concerned about, and proactive with.  Fortunately, this was one of the first things that OMG looked into way back (as seen above).

This actually reminded me of how different the lanscape used to be with LLLT a year or two ago!

Just like with the whole “OH MY GOD, LLLT WILL ALL GIVE US CANCER” bullshit that people used to post in forums, this EMF thing was a big waste of everyone’s time, too, and used by people with motives.

I remember I disappeard from the forums for a few weeks once, and the SAME DAMN PEOPLE that would repeatedly post that cancer scare crap and preach that I was too stupid to read studies and understand them had already had 50 post conversations about how the alleged EMF fields from these helmets were going to kill people.  And you know what??  NOT ONE OF THEM EVER BOTHERED TO TEST THIS OUT (and of course, none of them owned laser devices anyway).  They just instantly jumped on this, used it as an opportunity to insult ME, and then disappeared as soon as I posted that “0.0” picture.  Just like cockroaches when you flick on the lights.

So, once again… I submit evidence that the people that used to criticize laser therapy had some sort of motive to do so, and will jump on anything just for the chance to take a swipe at me and take down LLLT.  I don’t think it’s a coincidence that they don’t take the time to explain what sort of numbers are involved with that in vitro cancer thing, and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that they pounced on this EMF thing before I posted “0.0”.  It’s the same repeat offenders every time.

Wow… how different the hair loss world was in 2008!  lol…  We’re so much SMARTER now!

Don’t worry, though… I’m not actually angry about this stuff.  I don’t have to be -I’m about to have my own internet SHOW where I can once and for all tear apart people like this on VIDEO, and I won’t even have to worry about writing things like this anymore!  HA HA HA!
