Hey Guys,

I was wondering if you have any advice how to increase the quality of your donor area.
Last week my donor area was measured using a microscopic device and the area is not optimal. Considering I am only 24 years old I was actually expecting this area would be in optimal condition.

Are there reasons why this happens? Is there something to prevent this?

I’m curious - what is considered ‘optimal’... like what is the operational definition? Does he mean space/area? Density of follicles? Health and cleanliness of the scalp?

I would assume it would be the density of the healthy follicles, and that is totally driven by genetics (as to the number of follicles you have). In that case, I don’t think there is much you can do sadly. I might be totally wrong though.

However, since I’m such a derma roller enthusiast, my initial reaction to your post was to do some dermarolling, and possibly some enzyme peels.
