Hair loss is not exclusively rooted in DHT. There are physiological events that influence the body’s production of DHT as well as inflammatory events that proceed it. For example, DHT stimulates TGF-Beta, which stimulates collagen enzymes, which further initiate follicle degradation. Cytokines such as Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha, ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species), Superoxide, Prostaglandin imbalances and stress hormones, prolactin and other factors play an important role as well.
In this day and age, it is extremely difficult to consume a perfect diet, much less understand how to go about it. Regardless, those with balding scalps are sensitive to environmental and dietary influences, which makes appropriate, dietary supplementation a crucial element for success in many individuals.
While everyone is different, the following link reveals a basic regimen that I have used for some time. It has evolved over the years and represents protection geared towards positive influences over cellular and genetic expression.
The following regimen is updated monthly http://www.immortalhair.org/mycurrentregimen.htm

I’m a big proponent of the Immortal Hair “Top 6”, and have been using it for almost exactly 2 years now. In my personal experience, when I’ve gotten “lazy” with the regimen while eating crappy food, my hair loss generally is exacerbated. Keeping a clean scalp and a good internal environment are clutch to maintaining good hair quality, while minimizing hair loss. |
