I can’t say as that I fully agree with all points illustrated here, and I quote from paragraph 2:
, concerning boar bristle versus comb and such but I, too, have made the switch from using a comb to only using a boar bristle brush on my hair. I have always insisted on Ace combs; they are the best combs around, rounded tine tips. You can tell a cheap comb; it literally scraps your scalp. But, combs away; use a boar bristle brush and keep what precious hair you still have on your head, not left on your comb or brush. |

A very basic rule of thumb… use a comb on long wet hair, a brush on long dry hair. You can comb short dry hair without damaging it, but a boar bristle brush on long wet hair is not a good idea. You will probably get a lot of breakage. |
